Administrative Assistant - Senior Representative at Cigna

Job Description:

We have an immediate opening for a dynamic Senior Administrative Assistant who will provide support for up to three of our Technology Executives.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a department of diverse people and programs. This person performs advanced administrative support which is typically work of a confidential nature and requires extensive knowledge of department, business unit, and company practices and policies. The ability to work with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Expert written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detail are equally important.

Essential Duties:


  • Provide administrative support for up to three Technology Executives including calendar coordination, meeting support and scheduling, travel arrangements, and expenses.


  • General office management duties including catering needs, space planning, facility needs, ordering of office supplies, and mail distribution.


  • Assist with general department needs (faxing, correspondence, day-to-day challenges of department, scheduling conference rooms, greeting guests, and directing phone calls).


  • Assist with organizing department events: offsite events, quarterly department meetings, holiday party, etc.


Preferred requirements:


  • 3+ years of related experience.


  • Advanced level proficiency of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.


  • Ability to use sound judgment and critical thinking/analytical skills.


  • Exhibit solid written and verbal skills.


  • Superior communication skills, verbally and in writing.


  • Strong people skills and positive attitude required.


  • Deal with others courteously and professionally, even in difficult situations.


  • Able to balance many, and sometimes conflicting priorities.


  • Keep deadlines straight and manage workload to business needs.


  • Ability to organize and prioritize functions with minimal supervision.


  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations


This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
