Job Description:

Arcadis is seeking a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience, for upcoming opportunities with our construction management team supporting Transit projects in the New Jersey/Greater New York City area.

As a Project Manager, you will utilize your experience and technical knowledge of transit infrastructure, building systems including MEP, site development and general civil/structural knowledge for renovations to and construction of transit facilities. You will be responsible for successfully overseeing and managing General Contractor progress.

Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the firm's day-to-day construction oversight and field staff including Resident Engineers & Inspectors.

  • Manage inspection staff and the delivery of daily inspector reports in accordance with clients' requirements.

  • Act as liaison to design staff to respond to Contractors' RFI's and review of shop drawings.

  • Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality.

  • Manage office staff responsible for record keeping, general correspondence, compiling and drafting of required reports and deliverables.

  • Manage Financial performance of the project, budgets and mini proposal efforts.

  • Responsible for overall site safety, permit condition compliance and coordination with other participant Agencies.

  • Monitor Contractor performance, schedule, overall responsiveness and effectiveness.

  • Exert influence over Contractors to maintain project goals regarding cost, schedule, quality, etc.

  • Use effective oral and written communication skills to effectively lead progress, project, safety, scheduling and other contract administration meetings with client, local agencies and the community.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 10 years of experience of project experience with Transit facility construction.

  • Prior experience as a Project Manager in the NJ/NYC Metro area.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.

  • Proficiency with CMIS Systems, Primavera and/or MS Project and the MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer - New York or New Jersey preferred.
