Job Description:

Arcadis seeks to hire a Survey CAD Technician or Surveyor to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. In this position you will perform survey related calculations, produce survey plats for various high-level clients, and prepare design/topographic base maps for our designers. You will also perform deed research, write legal descriptions, and process survey data collected from our field teams. This position is responsible for receiving and evaluating survey assignments, processing and evaluating field data and CAD preparation of final mapping. Final mapping may include boundary, topographic, planimetric or design related deliverables. The position will entail work on projects across an assortment of states and often simultaneously.

This position requires knowledge of field-to-finish processing of survey data. You should be detail oriented, able to work decisively, possess a strong willingness to collaborate with other team members, be attentive to quality and willing to take on responsibility. You will be presented with leading edge technology and access to state-of-the art software tools. Key Required Attributes:


  • Proficient in processing and mapping survey field data
  • Possess strong CAD production skills, with a keen eye toward quality control and accuracy.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret property legal descriptions.
  • Ability to perform deed research, both online and at local jurisdictions.
  • Ability to deliver the superior quality and accuracy in work demanded by our high-level clients.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Be an engaged and driven team player who will respond positively and enthusiastically to training to stay current with technology.
  • Adept at scheduling survey projects and deliverables to meet client deadlines and budgets.

Required Qualifications:


  • 8 years relevant survey experience, including a minimum of 5 years' experience in responsible charge of complex field-to-finish survey deliverables
  • Experience with Civil 3D
