Defines metrics and monitor supplier performance against expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement and sustainability. Regularly evaluate performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
Continuously work on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (i.e., JIT, Kanban, min/max) and manufacturing strategies.
Drive the improvement of suppliers' manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier engineers.
Encourages and coordinates early supplier involvement in a new products parts design using the suppliers' expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability.
Knowledge of supply chain management business processes and proper governance controls for factory management.
Working knowledge of the industrial computer, OEM board, and PCBA industry.
Works closely with suppliers on capacity planning.
Domestic and international travel will be required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related degree
7 years of working experience in the Semiconductor Equipment industry
Experience working with global suppliers
Project Management experience, to include Team Lead experience
Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization, including Leadership and Executives
Understands working with sub-tier supply chain management
Experience with semiconductor electronics components industry
Preferred Qualifications
Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities
Solid analytical skills and understanding of statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production environment
Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
SAP experience will be a plus
