Provides engineering support for a specific product, group of products or process capability demonstration related to plasma etchers
Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products
Creates new or modified process recipe formulations and executes processing requirements
Determines and executes appropriate metrology and sample preparation methods to assess tool performance on wafer
Interfaces with design, process, test, and reliability engineering to solve product issues and validate performance during development
Coordinates with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods
Compiles and evaluates test data to compare to appropriate process limits or material specifications
Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate priorities and communicate effectively
Occasionally trains Field Process Engineers on process/metrology tool usage related to customer demonstrations.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of experience with a M.S in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics; or
B.S with 3 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory.
Experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
Interest in advanced technology and an on-going desire to learn.
In-dept understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
