Responsibilities:
Perform control, topographic, and construction surveying using Drones, RTK GPS, and Total Stations.
Operate and maintain survey equipment, accurately and efficiently collect field data, and submit data in a timely manner.
Perform construction quality assurance (CQA) duties for landfill and landfill gas system construction and complete required documentation.
Travel for extended periods, if necessary -including overnight stays. It is anticipated that the position will travel 40-80% of the time; however, this estimate may change based on client needs.
Work effectively and efficiently as both a team and solely.
Critical thinking and problem solving of complex field issues.
Walk long distances, up and down steeply sloped landfills and outdoor terrain.
Work in extreme (hot and cold) weather conditions safely.
Provide an aggressive and proactive approach to client needs and urgent issues that arise.
Must be available to work overtime, nights, weekends, on-call, and holidays if necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Preferred A.S. or B.S Degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying.
PLS certification a plus.
Proficiency with RTK GPS and data collection software.
Familiarity with control, topographic, and construction staking.
FAA part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate holder or ability to obtain certificate and familiarity with drone surveying a plus.
5 years of relative work experience.
CAD software experience.
Proficient in the use of a PC, specifically Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to build and retain mutual relationships with clients.

You will be required to successfully pass a urinalysis drug screen. Tetra Tech Solid Waste East is a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol business; as such, you will be subject to quarterly random drug screens where allowable by law.
