Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) s erves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others

We are looking for a Vice President to manage the Auto Lending credit forecasting function for the Dealer Commercial Services (DCS) portfolio. The credit forecasting function is a highly visible role which must interact with partners in risk strategy, finance, accounting, model validation, controls and technology. The role is primarily focused on implementing, testing and executing credit forecasting processes in a timely, disciplined and controlled fashion. The candidate will be responsible for communicating credit results to senior management including the CRO and CFO of the Auto Lending business

The candidate will primarily be responsible for the Dealer Financial Services portfolio and will work with experienced risk analysts and associates across the US and India. In the development of the credit cost forecast for the business, he / she will be required to look for ways to improve the efficacy of the forecasting process, analyze both internal customer behavior trends with external price and market information while maintaining strong risk and control environment.

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose is to manage the Auto Lending credit forecasting processes through the updating and maintenance of loan forecasting data, models, processes and documentation. The role will also partner with the Auto Lending risk strategy and finance organizations in various month end and quarter end closing activities and ad-hoc analyses.

The successful candidate is responsible for the following:


  • Execute mathematical or statistical models to generate, interpret, and summarize credit loss results for the DCS portfolio to support ALLL, budget and regulatory stress testing (CCAR/ICAAP) processes.
  • Support DCS CRO by driving risk related strategies
  • Identify risk drivers to support and explain credit results to senior management
  • Provide solutions to complex problems and drive results.
  • Partner closely with model development, technology, and finance
  • Execute these tasks accurately and in a timely manner for a wide range of forecasting initiatives.
  • Adopt and implement best practices and standards for all production processes.

Qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of related Risk and Finance experience
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other quantitative field
  • Understanding of credit and risk policy; experience in credit roles will be given preference
  • Understanding of accounting standards and requirements
  • Experience in managing complex processes leveraging complex data and models
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and pro-active with proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a team environment and interact across departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to summarize and explain clearly large and complex information to a wide range of audiences
