At Broadwind, we THINK BIG! We have an exciting opportunity to join our Broadwind Heavy Fabrications division as a Quality Engineer in Abilene, TX. In this important role, incumbents are focused on driving root cause activities with teams, monitoring and adjusting controlled documents and metrics as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all of the following responsibilities)

Responsibilities for this role focus on three (3) main initiatives. Specific responsibilities will be dedicated to the support of these main initiatives:

Metric creation, analysis and recommendation for action based on the metrics
Crafting of and revising as needed procedures
Internal auditing

Manage activities related to document control and internal auditing
Control non-conformance and corrective action metrics; verify effectiveness of actions and respond to the customer as required/needed
Assist project management team with customer KPI communications
Establish/complete/maintain control charts, FMEAs, PPAP documentation as required
Maintain internal and customer process control/statistical control monitoring activities
Assist with Material Traceability monitoring, material tracking for schedule reporting purposes to the customer.
Conduct/assist with internal auditing
Collaborate with other department and functions as needed to support successful outcomes of the established initiatives.
Other projects/duties as assigned
