Would you like to immerse yourself in the Ent University experience? The Learning and Development Department is looking for a soft skill Ent University Training Specialist. Get in on the ground floor and help with the creation and facilitation of new classes. As a soft skills Ent University Training Specialist, you will focus on behavioral skills and personal attributes that enable employees to interreact effectively and harmoniously with coworkers and members.  This position will not facilitate technical training.  You will advocate for employees and help them realize their dream by training classes such as career development, leadership, managing conflict, and communication.  Work with a variety of employees including those who wish to excel in their current role, those who seek to forge a new path in an unfamiliar department, and those who pursue becoming a leader.  Inspire passion in the classroom by connecting with new faces.

Collaborate with a team that is passionate about learning to develop new classes for Ent University.  Create new classes aligned with Ent’s cultural attributes and competencies to help employees grow in their career.  Design new classroom activities and materials dedicated to teaching these competencies in engaging new ways.


The Learning and Development Department is looking for a Training Specialist who is focused, ambitious, and wants to help people develop their skills.  Be part of a team that is innovative with training content while being empathetic to the needs of the classroom.


This role includes



  • creating and preparing materials required for different classes.

  • presenting to and managing diverse personalities.

  • the opportunity to give, receive, and implement feedback.

Training Specialists will work with different business units to ensure training needs are being met.  In this role, travel to various training locations based on training needs.


What will a Training Specialist be doing?



  • Under general supervision, conducts training for all credit union employees using a variety of instructional materials.

  • Monitors participant’s skills development to ensure transfer of learning. Provides feedback on the participant’s progress to the participant and his/her supervisor. 

  • Responsible for preparation of class materials and coordination of training classes.

  • Other duties as required.

Minimum formal education required for this position:


Knowledge consistent with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, or a related field


Minimum work experience:


(Preferred) 1+ years’ experience of formal training & development


(Preferred) 1+ years’ experience in a financial institution


Technical or specialized knowledge/skills:



  • Knowledge and application of adult learning principles.

  • Advanced communication skills including written, verbal and interpersonal are required with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.

  • High comfort level with public speaking.

  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and diverse projects.

  • Ability to develop professional presentations

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and consistent, logical and effective decision-making skills.

  • Basic ability in technical writing to include training manuals, memoranda, and proposals.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Certifications required:



  • None required

  • (Preferred) Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or other similar certifications

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements: 


Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in a climate controlled environment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists for repetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, handling paper, currency, or coin, and operating a telephone.   Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of an office environment.  Must be able to address an audience verbally with clarity.  Must be able to point or gesture, use visual aids (write on dry-erase board, etc.), and perform other basic classroom functions.  Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members under varying circumstances.  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.


Salary range for this position: $42,307.20 to $63,481.60 (This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based upon performance)
