What you’ll do:

Hearst Autos is seeking an associate commerce editor to write and edit product roundups and reviews for Car and Driver, Road & Track, and Autoweek. The associate commerce editor should have a deep interest in all things automotive, including car culture and both new and vintage vehicles. An interest in mechanics and DIY is a plus.

The associate commerce editor should be a strong writer with the capacity to assign and edit stories, write display copy, work comfortably in our CMS, and have up-to-date knowledge of SEO practices, web traffic trends, and best practices on pertinent social media platforms.

Reporting to the special projects editor of Hearst Autos, the associate commerce editor will work alongside the staffs of all three titles to develop Hearst Autos' expanding ecommerce team. This role can be based in Detroit or New York City.

Who you are:

●      You have 2 to 3 years of editorial experience in digital and magazine media.

●      You have a demonstrated interest in cars, car culture, and mechanics.

●      You have experience writing, producing, and editing for digital publications.

●      You are knowledgeable of what a car-enthusiast audience would be interested in purchasing and have background in ecommerce.

●      You are a creative thinker able to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life.
