The Regional Manager, Operations is responsible for ensuring safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, efficient operations and maintenance of the Rocky Mountains Gathering & Processing assets in compliance with all Company and governmental regulations. 
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Develop, execute and manage strategies that control expenses for all assets in this region while ensuring assets are effectively maintained and operated.

  • Work with maintenance, commercial, and other workgroups to establish annual operation budgets.

  • Establish safety, environmental, and operational goals for the region and provide guidance and leadership towards achieving those goals.

  • Manage and guide a multi-skilled, diverse work team to fully leverage operations and maintenance, workforce team.

  • Direct the systems that ensure emergency responses and repairs are managed in a manner that minimizes potential liability and exposure while complying with company and regulatory agencies' rules and guidelines.

  • Collaborates with Business Development, Marketing/Scheduling in determining and implementing equipment needs, operational and emergency procedures, and policies for new and existing business.

  • Continuously promote safety, customer awareness, efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of responsibility.

  • Approve charges to a defined upper limit, conduct personnel performance reviews and evaluation, support staff needs and issues, promote management directions downward and champion department issues upward.

  • Develops and fosters industry relationships for the primary purpose of establishing and maintaining both an operational and technological leadership position. This provides and enables the Company to have greater insights into best practices and gain valuable market intelligence and benchmarking information.

  • Provides oversight of the supervising of all employees assigned to the respective operating arena for which the Manager is responsible. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these assets.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

  • Support and communicate company procedures while constantly working to improve regional focus and adherence to those procedures.

  • Responsible for appraisal of employee performance, rewarding and disciplinary actions of employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Identify areas of need across the region with respect to continuing training, education, staffing, and operational excellence.

  • Maintain effective communication and teamwork across the multiple discipline working across the area.

 
 




The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 


  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an Associate's degree in technical or field involving Oil and Gas is preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in the Oil and Gas industry is required.

  • Previous supervisory experience required.    

  • This position requires up to 50% travel.     

  • Strong analytical skills, effective decision making, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to interface effectively with other staff functions, departments, and operating units at all levels is required.

  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers (PCs) and related computer equipment as well as software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. is required.

  • Ability to take charge during emergency situations to ensure a safe and accurate response is required.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing situations and to handle competing demands under pressure is required.

  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing pipeline safety is required.

  • Must be familiar with codes and standards applicable to pipeline design, construction, and operation is required.

  • In-depth knowledge of safe work practices and procedures is required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication is required.
