Nemours is seeking a Senior Server Administrator - Clinical (Systems Administration), FULL-TIME, for our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.

​Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. The Senior Server Administrator Clinical position is responsible for the administration and management of enterprise Windows based systems, VMware ESX environment and Citrix based systems that support the EPIC environment within the organization. This position is also responsible for managing servers with associated Clinical Applications.

The Senior Server Administrator Clinical has a comprehensive view of the Epic Windows applications, infrastructure and 3rd party applications that are intimately connected within Epic, and with the other infrastructure technologies that Epic relies upon. This includes Windows OS, scripting, printing, IIS, Citrix XenApp, VMware ESX, and other technologies.

The Senior Server Administrator Clinical position is also responsible for Installing, upgrading, maintaining and supporting Epic ancillary applications (Web Blob, Interconnect, Hyperspace Web, EPS, etc.) server platforms. Additional responsibilities include applying Epic client pack updates to all installed ancillary applications and troubleshooting issues related to this environment.

Core responsibilities include supporting the Epic platform infrastructure built on Windows. VMware and Citrix, working with the Epic vendor when needed and providing support during scheduled Epic maintenance.


  • Supporting Epic Infrastructure – ESCA Certification preferred but not required.

  • Managing and maintaining critical platforms such as Citrix 7.x (PVS, Virual Apps), VMware Esx 6.x, 7.x.

  • Responsible for the installation and administration of system software to include server based clinical applications.

  • Interact with Network, Storage, Database and application teams to configure and to optimize system use.

  • Work in a Data Center environment, completing cable runs, rack/stack servers, document hardware installs, and maintain overall cable organization.

  • Monitor and analyze server resources to ensure optimal performance.

  • Provide technical support for server systems via troubleshooting and telephone support

  • Coordinate with vendors on equipment configuration and resolution of problems related to printing, performance and applications.

  • Provides on-call off hours support as needed and participates in a rotation for scheduled downtime activities.

  • Ensure security procedures are implemented and enforced.

  • Performs other systems related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Associate's Degree required.

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience required.

  • ESCA Certification preferred but not required.
