The Special Events & Programming Operations & Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all special events of a the hotel's food and beverage and other outlets as well as any additional seasonal and holiday activities in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

The Special Events & Programming Operations & Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all special events of a the hotel's food and beverage and other outlets as well as any additional seasonal and holiday activities in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Schedule resort entertainment/musicians for all restaurants & bars as well and specialized custom events. Ensure lighting and music is "on brand" and activating all areas.
  • Lead planning for Holiday and seasonal activations and promotions
  • Assist in planning and execution of events/activations and develop an activation calendar for selected outlets or resort venues
  • Posting and responding on social media channels and internal newsletter/marketing material. Creation and implementation of programming calendar.
  • Develop internal signage for activation and prepare monthly acitivity guide and any collateral.

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent written skills sufficient to produce internal/external sales and marketing communication
  • Ability to effectively deal with department heads, team members and and guests.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to manage projects effectively - ability to manage multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints
  • Ability to handle multiple customer and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to operate independently and with a high degree of autonomy requiring excellent time management skills and self-motivation.
  • Proficiency in the use and operation of computer systems with the ability to navigate efficiently through Word, Excel, Outlook, Open Table, Internet, PowerPoint, Publisher
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, departmental requests, memos, general corresepondence and similar written materials
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and customer relations skills.
  • High proficiency and working knowledge of Social Media sites.
