Job Summary:

AccuV is seeking highly motivated Business Analyst to join our growing team to define and support our mission-critical applications for our customers. The successful candidate(s) will provide support to the Agile team by transforming client business needs into user stories that accurately capture functional requirements. Perform as an advocate of the client Product Owner with the team in accordance with best practices.

Conducts various types of research and analysis to support the business operations to an internal business segment, division, group or line of business. Assists management to resolve business issues in an effective and productive manner. Designs, documents and re-engineer’s business processes and publishes business metrics results.

The Business Analyst will manage requirements gathering and analysis activities by working with stakeholders, developers, UX designers, the product manager and QA teams. They must have knowledge of the product to assist in feature developments, enhancements and troubleshooting. The position will need to understand our system functionality and process to interact with internal associates, external clients, and will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to ensure business objectives and requirements are fully understood by developers and UX before solutions are designed and implemented. You will leverage our data to drive operational efficiencies, provide key data-driven insights, enable new opportunities and innovate on behalf of business customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent critical thinking skills, strong organizational skills, and a process improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with management, stakeholders, team leads, developers, and others as needed to help refine projects.

  • Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications

  • Create functional specifications that capture all interface behavior for all types of users of the system and any front end or back end business rules.

  • Support the development team by communicating requirements and functional specifications through workflows or artifacts such as user/process flow diagrams, wireframes, data models, scenarios, excel matrices, and others as needed

  • Triage issues (defects/bugs) with the QA team to ensure alignment with the defined requirements and provide responses to issues as well as keeping documentation up to date.

  • Engage with Product Manager to review and approve finished development work before release into production

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and other team meetings and activities as appropriate

  • Assist with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicate these back to the business stakeholders

  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary

  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements, verbally or through written documentation, to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood

  • Engage in UAT sessions to ensure quality & customer successful criteria are met

The Skills and Background You’ll Bring:


  • 4+ years of experience working in Business Analyst role within a technology organization

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Business or Computer Science preferred

  • Solid team attitude; able to work successfully as a team player

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, able to provide timely and concise reports and communications, and interact with multiple groups and levels

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment with the time management skills to meet deadlines

  • Fast learning capacity and ability to work in a fast-paced development environment. Strong technical documentation skills, especially with Word, Excel, and Visio

  • Initiative and a strong desire to produce results in a dynamic organization

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience working in an agile development environment

Experience developing user stories, functional specifications, wireframes, scenarios, matrices, and other common business analysis artifacts
