Job Description:

The successful candidate will drive business results by engaging business partners, analyzing financial results and business drivers, and communicating with senior executives through both oral and written presentations. The successful team member will own their work end-to-end and act as a primary finance contact to the partners they support in the business. This position requires the candidate to become a subject matter expert in the home lending business, affordable lending performance, finance, and capital markets. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, and enjoy handling complexity. Our team must be agile in supporting a dynamic business, and we are looking for people who thrive in this work style.The Home Lending (HL) Finance group partners with senior finance, business and affordable lending leaders and their teams across the HL business. We serve as trusted analytical partners to help leaders understand and manage all financial aspects of the mortgage business. The team actively identifies and recommends business enhancements and assists management to analyze and communicate business strategy and results.

Key responsibilities:


  • Perform, prepare, and present analytics related to product pricing, forecasts, budgets and key performance indicators
  • Partner closely with the business to gather information, synthesize inputs and create value added analysis to understand/communicate key business drivers
  • Ensuring key strategy, financials and other priority items are communicated effectively through the firm
  • Conduct and problem solve ad-hoc financial analysis based on senior management requests
  • Drive the improved integration of reporting/data, forecasting, and analytics across HL line of businesses through process improvements and automation, including dashboarding

Qualifications:


  • High degree of analytical aptitude and curiosity

  • Relentless attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to communicate well to senior leaders
  • Enthusiastic self-starter; innovative thinker with the ability to derive, formulate, and develop new concepts, processes and value added activities
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Strong team player and contributor to great team culture
  • 5+ years financial planning, reporting or consulting experience, preferably in an analytical or forecasting capacity
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint at high level
  • Familiar with mortgage business, Fair Lending and CRA regulations a plus
