Ensure that schedules are firmed maximizing plant capacities while effectively supporting customer orders, maintaining workforce stability in multiple manufacturing facilities. The position also attempts to minimize fluctuations in production requirements while ensuring that the master production schedule aligns with material availability provided by the Supply Chain Group.

Essential Functions and Activities:

  • Responsible for creating, executing and monitoring the schedules for all Morgan Olson production plants.


  • Manage Ford chassis pool; ordering, monitoring and forecasting Ford inventory.


  • Track all incoming chassis deliveries, coordinating with Chassis suppliers to ensure their build schedules can support the production schedule.


  • Balance production plans with financial forecasts, ensuring they meet company goals.


  • Primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, engineering, logistics and manufacturing departments.


  • Participate in forecasting meetings with sales and other related departments; lead scheduling meeting.


  • Monitor and distribute weekly, monthly reports.


  • JDE supervisor user which includes but not limited to testing and resolving problems.


  • Support and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.


  • Adheres to Quality Policy by exceeding customer expectation, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.


  • Adheres to Safety Policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time


  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:


    High school graduate plus some vocational training or high school graduate with two to three years work experience


    Knowledge of JDE and Excel


    Basic math skills


    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


    Proficient with production planning systems


    Strong interpersonal skills to interface with manufacturing personnel and organizational management


    Bachelor of Science preferred
