We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will join our sales team in Marysville, OH.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for working with National Account Manager to effectively manage the business for their assigned retailers.
What you'll do in this role:
Support the national account managers in all facets of the business
Support and collaborate with key internal decision makers in other business groups to communicate the team's action plans.
Communicate regularly with national account managers, retailers and internal stake holders
Drive for sales results on distribution of all Scotts products.
Perform retailer and market visits to ensure integrity of program and develop relationships with key decision makers.
Accurately forecasts, by SKU, by account, by month, by plan the anticipated demand requirements for each significant customer.
Assist in resolution of service issues.
Participate in retailer meetings and events, as well as Scotts internal sales + marketing meetings
Create/update retailer playbooks with new programs and advertising for Scotts' Teams, Retailer merchant, and replenishment teams.
Respond to any field questions
Build relationships with retail merchant and replenishment team.
Collaborate with key internal National Account associates (such as marketing manager and finance manager)
What you'll need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 1-3 years successful sales experience
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to develop impactful powerpoint presentations
Ability to analyze data within Microsoft Excel
REquired to drive an automobile regularly and travel over night by auto or airline
Knowledge of Scott's product lines
