Bachelor's Degree in engineering or another technical field of study
Master's degree preferred
Minimum 5-7 years in industrial & Automotive manufacturing
Minimum 5-7 years in continuous improvement methodologies
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
Experience in Cold Forming and fastener mass production processes
Background in auditing suppliers with an emphasis on Heat Treat & Plating processes
Experience with IATF16949 / ISO9001 / internal and external audits

What You'll Do The Quality Director position is responsible for planning and directing the quality and continuous improvement activities for all sites across the SEF Industrial BU in North America, a division of Stanley Black & Decker. The Quality Director will develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure quality systems are in place to drive best-in-class quality culture and discipline throughout the manufacturing & supply chain processes. Specifically, you will:
Plan, organize direct, control, and evaluate the organization's quality systems, policies, standards, procedures, and strategic plans to ensure customer requirements are met.
Develop and maintain QA standards relating to processes and products, ensuring QA teams and employees use quality tools to improve the organization's accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
Act as a catalyst to support change initiatives in concert with NA Industrial leadership team.
Direct a multi-dimensional approach to quality activities during prototype and production stages as defined in the APQP.
Direct, plan, prepare and review FMEAs, control plans, process flows, and PPAPs.
Coordinate communications with suppliers, customers, and company personnel on quality issues.
Lead cross-functional quality review, training, and issue resolution meetings.
Initiate supplier development and perform on-site supplier assessments.
Monitor and define quality policies, manuals, and procedures while ensuring compliance with the quality system requirements.
Ensure annual reviews and revisions of quality system procedures and work instructions.
Facilitate and lead continuous improvement projects, leveraging global best practices to drive best in class processes.
Own quality KPI reporting and improvement.
