*Description*
* Prepare monthly closing entries.
* Perform various account analyses for various balance sheet accounts.
* Review travel advances and maintain travel records for completed Museum travel. * Prepare monthly aging reports in Oracle AR.
* Reconcile and analyze quarterly activity to assist in a timely and accurate 1099 filing.
* Audit and back up payables.* Bachelors degree required (Accounting degree preferred) * Knowledge of accounting software SAGE/ACCPAC (preferred) or MS Dynamics Great Plains.
* Strong computer and spreadsheet (Excel) skills required.
* Ability to meet predetermined deadlines, assess priorities, and manage multiple projects.
* Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required to effectively identify and communicate potential problems and propose solutions.
* Must have the ability to understand and utilize the basic concepts and principles of accounting methods and procedures in the performance of daily job functions.My client is a well known Investment firm.
