We are recruiting for a Field Marketing & Underwriting Manager to join our team in Dallas, TX. This position can potentially sit remotely in other areas of Texas.

                                                                                                           

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages the most complex and demanding agency relationships in support of the company’s mission.  Independently provides leadership to assigned Marketing Underwriters. Manages marketing underwriters who handle complex Property and Casualty accounts. Implements underwriting guidelines and procedures and provides final approval for assigned Marketing Underwriters.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Interpret and apply the company’s strategies to high level agency relationships.

  • Assist in development and execution of Core Service Center strategies.

  • Manage, with limited direction, the development and implementation of business plans for achieving established operational plan targets for written premium, loss ratio, product retention, pricing and coordination of service.

  • Manage agency relationships including cultivating, diagnosing and adjusting to changing agency environments.

  • Analyze and interpret information drawn from multiple sources to make comprehensive agency decisions regarding quality of book of business.

  • Manage overall customer relationship including proper support and service delivery activities to ensure achievement of business plan objectives.

  • Manage assigned marketing underwriters in the development of the agency through PFS levels.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.

  • 7 years middle market marketing and underwriting experience.

  • 2 years management experience of middle market underwriters.

  • Demonstrated success cultivating and maintaining business relationships with key customers to support departmental goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.

  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.

  • Ability to influence and persuade others.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast paced, highly visible, and changing environment.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

  • Ability to travel within assigned region.

  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Designations such as CIC, CPCU, and AU preferred.
