Job Description:

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

 

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for coordination of training, deviation management, and technical functions.  Assist management in the successful achievement of donor sourcing goals and cost effective operations.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.  Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.

 

Assures quality customer service to all customers.

 

Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.

 

Ensures all records for donor services are reviewed for accuracy and completeness prior to scanning.

 

Ensures all scheduled processes are reviewed for accuracy and completeness prior to submittal to component processing lab (CPL) and centralized document review (CDR).

 

Performs analysis and follow-up of donor reaction reports and ensures records are prepared for review. 

 

Generates error reports in the deviation management system, as assigned.  

 

Ensures document control is maintained throughout the District centers.    

 

Assists in maintaining records including records associated with record review, correction process, post donation information and donor reinstatements.

 

Maintains data base for correction logs.

 

Performs record scanning to CDR.  Ensures time frames are met, appropriate record retention and corrective action associated with records management.

 

Performs disposition of products in quarantine and e-progesa system error resolution.

 

Assists in monitoring and entering deviations.  Communicates issues to operations and ensures timeframes are met.

 

Assists in delivery of technical and development training programs, as needed.

  

Assists with report generation, as needed.

 

Performs all other duties at the discretion of management, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Knowledge/ Education

 

High School graduate or GED required.

 

Licenses/ Certifications

 

None.

 

Experience

 

Six months experience in a blood center environment preferred.

 

Skills/Abilities

 

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Must be able to understand, follow, and give precise written and verbal instructions, and perform all activities safely.

Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.

Must have proficient computer skills.

Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.

Effective oral and written communication skills.
