Description

As a Gogo Business Aviation Systems Administrator you will join an exciting team creating solutions and connecting aircraft by growing our production and corporate network infrastructure. You will design, develop and deploy ground-based network solutions to provide products and services to our customers, corporate offices, and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will work with the latest network solutions working to build the first 5G inflight experience.

How will you make a difference?

• Implement the features and functionality of Gogo Business Aviation system infrastructure


• Hands on engineering position, deploying


• Collaborate with other business units to meet a common goal


• Build solutions based on business requirements


• Track project tasks, provide status updates and ensure tasks completed on schedule


• Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues


• Contribute to process improvements, including researching and introducing new automation tools


• Guide implementation of best practices for system design/development


• Contribute to a healthy and collaborative team with a committed work ethic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field


• 3-5 in the telecommunications industry, service provider or IT industries


• Demonstrated experience with network administration
  


• Strong troubleshooting skills


• Strong Implementation and Integration skills


• Work in a tiered environment (Tier 2 and Tier 3)

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

• Excellent understanding Linux administration
  


• Experience with KVM hypervisor
  


• Working knowledge of Open vSwitch
  


• Have experience with OPENSTACK and cloud computing


• 
  Kubernetes and Docker experience


• 
  Ansible and puppet experience


• 
  Perl, Python or Shell scripting skills


• Excellent understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
  


• 
  Review and deploy Application releases according to best practices


• Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience


• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software problems on the platform systems


• Experience with DNS BIND
  


• Ability to work in a project-oriented environment


• Ability to work in a cross functional environment

Desirable Skills, Experience and Talents

• Exposure to traffic management and monitoring systems a plus


• Experience with Cisco virtualized infrastructure manager(CVIM)


• Cisco UCS hardware


• ELK stack experience is a plus

Compensation: $78,000 - $98,000

Target Annual Incentive: 10% of base compensation
