Job Summary
This Associate General Counsel ( AGC ) position in the Office of Legal Counsel's Health Affairs Group provides legal counsel on all matters affecting the University's hospital and clinical operations (UK HealthCare) and the health care related colleges. The AGC's duties include drafting and reviewing contracts; providing advice concerning compliance matters; drafting, reviewing and revising policies and procedures; remaining current on all applicable federal and state laws and regulations concerning health care operations; and proactively proposing changes to current agreements, documents, and policies and procedures as necessary.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Practicing in health care law with experience in relevant areas such as managed care contracting, supply chain contracting, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark, EMTALA , and HIPAA .

Experience representing academic medical centers preferred.
