Job Description:
What you’ll do:
- Determine causes of operating problems, consult schematics and order replacement parts
- Perform high voltage repairs
- Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications
- Installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment
- 480 V AC 3 phase motors and motor controls
- Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
- Remain in compliance with current Building Regulations that pertain to electrical work
- Complete work orders and record material used on jobs
- Use blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Schedule and conduct PM’s on existing equipment’s
- Daily interaction and troubleshooting of automation including but not limited to PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and 6 axis Robots
- Regular troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical, including but not limited to 3 Phase, AC/DC controls, air logic and hydraulics.
- Update Drawings to reflect changes made to electrical circuits
- Troubleshooting of three-phase, AC & DC controls
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 – 5 years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience
- Must have previous supervisory experience and/or electrician certification preferred
- Ability to provide clear, explicit verbal directions and create a positive learning environment
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
Working Conditions:
- Candidate will be required to work one weekend day.
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
