Building Mechanic, 1st Shift, Maintenance Department (Racine)

• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning plant equipment and Boilers
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
• Lubricate the equipment on a daily basis
• Replace broken belts, bearings, motors, electrical systems on the equipment as necessary
• Monitor and correct the oil levels and oil condition on the equipment on a weekly basis
• Calibrate production equipment to ensure that all parts are running in synch
• Repair light fixtures and replace light bulbs throughout the plant
• Repair pipes and plumbing problems throughout the plant
• Build machine modifications or system improvements as requested by management
• Perform related duties as assigned
• Keep area clean
• Follow all safety rules
• Always use proper PPE’s
• Diagnose and repair ammonia refrigeration problems
• Drain oil on a daily basis
• Diagnose and repair HVAC units
• Lubricate motors and related equipment
• Replace broken belts, bearings, motors, and air filters on all related equipment
• Perform related duties assigned to on Process Safety Management Program
• Keep areas clean
• Follow all safety rules
• Always use proper PPE’s

• 5 + years experience in the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of plant Refrigeration machinery

• Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
