As a Utility Forester / Work Planner, you will use your GPS and GIS skills as well as your love of the outdoors to help with planning out large projects for one of our utility clients in Colorado. Please be aware that out-of-town travel can be a regular occurrence in this role. Typically, our crews will arrive at the hotel (which we pay for) in Salida, CO on Sunday night, work long days Monday - Thursday, and then will head back home after work on Thursday. Not only will we pay for your mileage, but we will also pay you up to $50 per diem (which is un-taxed) for each night that you are staying at the hotel!

ABOUT THE ROLE:
A Work Planner at Integrity Tree Services has the opportunity to work on the front line of our work. You'll be involved in pre-planning work activities for our line clearance crews. Work will involve identification of trees to be removed and trimmed as well as the trimming techniques that need to be employed. The Work Planner position will also involve significant customer interface. This position provides workforce management scheduling and load balancing requirements for work peaks and valleys. Makes adjustments and recommendations for optimizing scheduling to maximize service and quality.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in working planning / forestry
Experience utilizing specialized GIS
Excellent customer service skills and a professional appearance
Willing to travel and stay overnight 4-5 nights/week
ISA Certified Arborist, or ability to obtain certification within 1 year
Bachelor's degree in business operations preferred, but not required
Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem solving, multi-tasking, organizational, and management abilities and show attention to detail.

Must be able to work independently, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
Must be proficient with computers and standard business software such as Word and Excel.
A working knowledge of standard forestry field tools will be needed for planning work and documentation.
Certification as a licensed pesticide applicator is a plus
Must be able to understand specific line clearance specifications and apply these specifications into the planning process.
Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record (approved by our insurance company) and reliable transportation to report to varying work sites.
Must be at least 18 years of age; Authorized to work for any employer in U.S.; Successfully complete pre-employment screens including urinalysis, motor vehicle record, and criminal background.

TRAVEL:
Travel is dependent on new project workload. Regular overnight travel staying multiple nights should be expected.
