Job Details: Serve on the Integrated Information Management Systems – Information Technology Support Services (IIMS-ITSS) contract as a Quality Assurance Analyst/Database Specialist Master for the JSSC at the Pentagon, Washington DC, responsible for data management support ensuring the confidentiality, availability, reliability and integrity of JSSC and customer datasets stored within the Oracle and UNIX Operating Environment (OE).

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level technical data management support within the Oracle/Unix OE and associated middleware regarding data analysis/management subjects, concepts, and tool sets supporting JSSC operations to include conducting database queries, file manipulation, system and process status checking, and ad-hoc report generation while insuring the quality and availability of JSSC and customer data 


• Support technical systems administration within the UNIX OE and associated middleware to include maintaining hardware/software in both physical and virtual server environments, setting up and maintaining accounts, maintaining system documentation, and monitoring system security and using a series of government provided tools, tests and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) 


• Conduct data analysis and quality assurances activities using government tools, written procedures and guidance to monitor to maintain the cyber security posture of supported databases and database management systems, and data quality via actions to include data translation/integration/reconciliation, and modeling across JSSC supported systems 


• Assist with troubleshooting and actively working incident management responses related to Oracle and UNIX systems, related tool sets and unique customer requirements, complete proper documentation, and follow through to develop strategies, policies, procedures to design and implementation standards related to the use of UNIX based resources 


• Exercise sound independent judgement in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria associated with obtaining results under this contract; and identify upgrade needs, and anticipate customer requirements by effectively planning, scheduling, and overseeing system upgrades 


• Interact with both customer and contract leadership relating complex technical issues/solutions in a manner to establish a partnership 


• Improve the customer's operating environment by providing expert support while also maintaining the data confidentiality, availability, reliability and integrity for both JSSC and JSSC's customers' assets

Education and Experience: 

Required

Education: 

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

Experience: 

• Minimum active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to be Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) indoctrinated, and


• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) Certification, and 


• Minimum of 7 years’ experience, of which at least 5 years must be specialized, or


• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline and  3 years of general experience, of which at least 2 years must be specialized experience, or 


• 15 years of general experience, of which at least 5 years must be specialized experience.

Preferred

• DoD 8570 IAT-II Certification: CompTIA Security+CE

Desired

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Version 3 Foundation Certification

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate technical understanding and comprehensive knowledge of data-related activities/systems/concepts within the Oracle and UNIX OE to include maintenance of cyber security postures, and quality of data stored within supported database management systems 


• Proficient with data manipulation actions such as database queries, file manipulation, system/process status monitoring, and ad-hoc report generation within a UNIX based OE 


• Ability to perform a variety of technical assignments to include analysis of system faults, troubleshooting incidents, and conducting a series of diagnostic tests on both systems and hardware to detect, prevent and resolve problems effectively and efficiently 


• Proven experience reviewing and preparing technical documentation, testing and installing software, researching and recommending methods and techniques to improve operations, conducting preventive maintenance, and managing/administering multiple technical projects with varying schedules to achieve optimal operation efficiency
