The Business Sustainment Operations (BSO) Control Project Manager supports Western Hemisphere Client Onboarding (WHEM COB) in the management and execution of strategic projects, initiatives and action plan deliverables. The incumbent will gather and compile information and assist with the timely execution and completion of projects, key risk initiatives and deliverables, which require coordination and communication among various stakeholders. You may be involved in multiple projects or initiatives, working across the whole project lifecycle, researching new projects, business process changes, configuration changes or system modifications. Through strong partnership with Business, Operations and Technology counterparts, you'll work on project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Gather/analyze complex data and develop accurate conclusions with sufficient comprehension of the business to understand risk implications
Understand user experience to aid support in defect troubleshooting
Lead and coordinate working groups, business forums and governance meetings
Responsible for Issue Management, Escalation and Remediation
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and business partners with the purpose of informing interested parties on all key milestones, accomplishments, programs, activities and overall successes
Facilitate meetings; prepare documentation, and meeting minutes, as necessary
Actively engaging in project requirement meetings; influencing requirements through analysis; providing thoughtful input to ensure business needs are met; identifying and documenting project gaps, impacts, and risks
Escalating project issues and risks appropriately
Managing work streams, small projects and other program initiatives with moderate to low supervision
Document and write business project plans
Evaluate existing project management processes and look for areas of improvement
Assist with change management as new features are delivered through systematic integrations
Work closely with key business stakeholders, including but not limited to business and operational teams, Legal, Compliance, Business Management, Oversight & Control, Audit, Business Initiative Leaders, project teams and Technology on fulfilling responsibilities of the Client Onboarding team
Project management - lead projects from inception thru implementation including resolution of risks/issues, assessment of impact (to people, process, and/or technology), and communication to impacted parties
Create and support various management reporting tools, including scorecards, weekly executive summaries, and other executive reporting needs
Communication management - develop monthly business review, presentations for senior audiences, content for Town Hall meetings, and communication plans for stakeholder engagement
Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree - Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred or equivalent military experience
5+ years of experience in financial services/banking industry, with a demonstrated track-record of delivery and/or relevant experience in risk and control management required
Drives results through strong leadership, people, communication and influencing skills
In-depth knowledge of risk management techniques from both a detection and mitigation perspective
Comfortable with change, ambiguity, debate, conflict and informed risk taking
Multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrently, prioritize effectively and act with a sense of urgency
Ability to successfully navigate a complex infrastructure that involves numerous groups and individuals
Consultative in approach, understanding and anticipating business partner needs and proactively delivering solutions
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment
Willingness to make decisions, while ensuring buy in from stakeholders.
