Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Strategy VP in our Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Strategy Group. The group functions as an internal consulting group and works on a project basis to address topics at the top of senior management agendas. This candidate will be part of the CIB Strategy Americas team and will have the opportunity to work on many initiatives across the CIB organization. Projects include developing international growth strategies, assessing and planning new product and market entry, and strategic business deep dives. Our focused group of professionals is composed of top performers from top strategy consulting firms, investment banks, other internal JPMorgan Chase groups, and top undergraduate and graduate programs.

Key responsibilities will include:


  • Lead initiatives/projects to resolve diverse problems identified by senior managers of the Corporate & Investment Bank
  • Lead teams of 1-3 junior strategists to develop solutions in partnership with business leaders
  • Develop "trusted advisor" relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Gather, synthesize, and creatively analyze data (e.g., financial modeling, valuation analysis) to provide insights, identify issues and arrive at recommendations
  • Develop strategic presentations for both internal and external audiences
  • Monitor industry trends and shares insightful reports and analyses with broader team and with senior executives
  • Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues
  • Create and/or contribute to an environment of collaboration and mutual responsibility
  • Simultaneously work on multiple projects across the CIB organization

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience from either a:

    • premier management consulting firm (minimum 2+ years of experience as a Manager/EM/PL)
    • investment banking (M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Equity Research) division, (minimum 2+ years as VP); Financial Institutions Group (FIG) experience preferred

  • Diverse strategic problem solving experience, such as leading multiple CEO/CFO level programs across the financial services sector
  • An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), influence senior business leaders, work well in cross-functional teams
  • Passion to foster an environment of active feedback and continuous development
