Job Description:

In October, JPMorgan Chase & Co. announced new commitments and public policy efforts to address key drivers of the racial wealth divide, reduce systemic racism against Black and Latinx people, and support employees. Aligned with this initiative we are seeking a dynamic, marketing leader to support the JPMC Corporate Impact marketing team. The Corporate Impact marketing director will drive marketing and messaging strategy at the corporate level, working across all lines of business within JPMorgan Chase, J.P. Morgan, and Chase. The candidate will also own messaging development and strategy across key campaigns and initiatives. The position will report to the JPMC Corporate Impact CMO.

The Corporate Impact Marketing team will be primarily focused on supporting four key initiatives: Diversity & Inclusion, Employer Brand, Corporate Social Responsibility, and local marketing across four strategic pillars including Careers & Skills, Financial Health & Wealth Creation, Business Growth & Entrepreneurship, and Community Development.

The Corporate Impact Marketing Lead will work with a team of marketing professionals, some of whom are dedicated to specific Firmwide programs, including Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Corporate Responsibility (CR), some of whom are leading Line of Business Inclusive Marketing initiatives, and the Marketing Center of Excellence brand, media and digital execution teams. This role will work with the Corporate Impact CMO and each of the aforementioned teams to create and manage the marketing plans within our key pillars to achieve desired KPI outcomes aligned to our 'Path Forward' commitments.

The unique individual that would fit this role must be adept at working across lines of businesses and with a very large, diverse, and geographically dispersed group of people. This person should be both goal oriented and have the ability to execute and lead in a highly matrixed organization.

Essential Functions:


  • Lead strategic development of marketing and messaging strategy for programs that ladder up into Corporate Impact and its strategic pillars.
  • Liaise and partner with Brand, Media, PR, Events and Corporate Website teams on channel strategy development and act as a liaison to ensure strong execution for campaigns to ensure that business objectives are met.
  • Evaluate potential advertising and marketing opportunities that may benefit multiple LOBs or that has more than one LOB connection.
  • Ensure all messaging fits in the JPMC Brand framework established and governed by the Chief Brand Officer.

Key Objectives:

  • Work with each of the D&I segment teams (Women on the Move, Military & Veterans Affairs, Office of Disability Inclusion, Global Supplier Diversity, Advancing Black Pathways, LBGT+ and LatinX), Corporate Responsibility and LOB teams to understand Path Forward Programs and program objectives in order to develop cohesive firmwide messaging strategy and identify opportunities for initiatives to partner.
  • Create a cohesive segment messaging and channel map working with our D&I and Marketing Center of Excellence teams, leveraging our corporate assets and channels as well as deliver a 'branded house' strategy.
  • Work with Marketing COE functional teams (Brand, Communications, Media and Channel Management) to execute on the Path Forward messaging and reach objectives to positively impact Brand Health (trust, innovation, and reputation) and objectives.
  • Impact Employer Brand goals for attracting and retaining a diverse group of talent.
  • Deliver impactful 'Brand Stories' messaging through Owned earned, organic and paid media channels focused on key business objectives.
  • Determine best measurement approach for the marketing spend to ensure we are efficient with the investments we make.

  • Brand reputation, trust, favorability, and overall health; Path Forward initiatives
  • Social media and PR positive sentiment and reach for pillar programs
  • Organic search results establishing JPMC as an industry leader in driving financial health, wealth and equity

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing, Strategy, Product, and/ or Brand Management
  • Effective people and leadership skills
  • Clear, strategic thinker with a strong ability to deliver a brand, marketing, and messaging strategy
  • Self-directed individual, with strong influencing skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and operate effectively, even when the way forward is not clear
  • Proven track record of strategic development and execution; ability to develop, plan and execute large- scale strategic plans
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed corporate environment across various business and functional teams; promote a culture of collaboration across organizational boundaries to facilitate growth of the business
  • Ability to influence and partner across a large organization and drive change
  • Strong presence and speaking skills, with the ability to influence and motivate multiple senior executive stakeholders
  • Experience with a Fortune 500 company and highly recognized customer centric brand strongly preferred
  • A thorough understanding of the financial services industry is desired, but not required
