Job Description

Background:

The Strategic Execution (SE) team reports into the CIB Technology Chief of Staff (CoS) organisation. SE's mission is to work with the CIB Technology executive team to accelerate strategic priorities and apply our breadth of knowledge and experience to provide transparency to senior leadership and enable data-driven decision making.

The SE team partners with teams across lines of Business (LOB), Global Technology, Data, Digital and Operations functions to identify and solve complex problems and implementation issues critical to the success of the CIO's strategy.

We are a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Business, Strategy and Technology SMEs. We are looking for a Senior Associate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and with a keen interest or background in Technology Strategy. Projects are typically team-based and include close collaboration with senior executives.

Role:

As a Strategic Execution Senior Associate, you will partner with LOB and domain experts in cross-functional project-based environment. The role will provide an opportunity to work on projects across the CIB Tech organization. Example initiatives include accelerating the DPS platform priorities across Application & Infrastructure Modernization, Operating Model Transformation and Data Modernization etc. This role is ideal for highly motivated individuals with advanced problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Define and deconstruct problems for the CIB Technology organization

• Gather, structure, synthesize, analyze and present project data and findings

• Execute creative quantitative and qualitative analyses and provide insight to identify issues and arrive at recommendations

• Develop concise communication materials for senior management

• Work collaboratively with team members across the organization and establish strong partnerships

• Identify and express views on how existing programs could be accelerated against specific priorities

• Share insightful reports and analyses with broader team and with senior executives

• Simultaneously work on multiple initiatives

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in other Strategy functions in J.P. Morgan or from premier management consulting firms or with strategy / problem-solving experience in other Tech. organizations).
• Financial Services background is preferred, but not required
• Outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)
• Comfortable working with all levels of the organization including senior executives
• Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and in a collaborative team environment with shared responsibility
• Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools
• Execution-oriented, and able to complete tasks independently
• Deep interest in Technology and tech. industry trends
