Job Description:

CRE Business Information and Data Owner are responsible for driving critical cross-functional projects in support of designing, building, and implementing customer-centric data assets for use by the CRE stakeholders across the firm. The candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of data structures, data manipulation, metadata, data security, and data quality management. In addition, the candidate must have a good understanding of CB businesses, functions, systems, data environments, and processes that are necessary for the production and utilization of modeling data.

We are searching for a Data Architect who is very enthusiastic about data and building high-quality data solutions. The candidate must have the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and partners inside and outside of the department to understand their needs and design and develop robust data solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess JPM institutional data and system knowledge, technical skills, an understanding of data science, and a commitment to producing high quality results.

  • Experience working both independently and in a virtual, collaborative environment is essential. Comfortable working in a matrix management model with stakeholders and virtual teams across global locations
  • Ability to navigate and understand technical documentation and/or system documentation
  • Strong knowledge of back-end and front-end application components

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of experience with in a financial services organization, exposure to any Regulatory or compliance product is a Plus.
  • 10+ years of industry experience, including deep technical experience with big data platforms and data management organizations
  • Strong design, coding, debugging and analytical skills, especially across the big data ecosystem ((e.g. Cloudera Hadoop)
  • Excellent command of the SQL language
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and big data tools (Spark, Hive, HDFS, etc.)Experience in architecture, data management, application ownership, and other IT role experience a plus
  • Plug-and-Play Area Product Owner who can create JIRAs, groom them with tech partners and supervise testing.
  • Prior Project Managements and test management experience would be helpful.
  • Must have ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines and be comfortable manipulating and summarizing large quantities of data
