Within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), the Digital Innovation Team combines strategy, thought leadership and execution to shape the CIB's digital agenda and offerings. The team has capabilities across strategy, fintech, partnership development, product management and engineering. With a global footprint spanning New York, London and Hong Kong, the team strives to rapidly develop unique and transformative offerings for JPM and its clients.

Through its alignment with J.P. Morgan's CIB businesses, as well as the broader financial services ecosystem, the Digital Innovation team identifies and analyzes digital trends, emerging challenges and expansion opportunities. Whether it concerns clients, vendors, fintechs or employees, the team develops forward-thinking ideas that optimize and transform existing franchises or result in new businesses, products and services. The Executive Director Digital Strategy and Partnerships will manage a small team, and represents an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to:

Summary of Responsibilities


  • Identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future market trends
  • Engage with management on existing pain points/ business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Project manage and drive initiatives, high level of internal stakeholder interaction
  • Build and analyze industry landscape related to any new opportunities
  • Develop and convey compelling yet objective value propositions to get buy-in from senior management on innovative digital strategies
  • Engage and develop relationships with Fintechs and VCs executives
  • Negotiate partnerships with Fintechs, including investments
  • Coordinate stakeholders internally to be in a position to execute Fintechs partnerships
  • Participate in industry events/ organizations as a thought leader

Skills and qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience either in banking, trading, sales, research role, working in a VC, FinTech, management consulting or strategy
  • Team management experience required
  • MBA or an advanced business degree from a top-tier program is strongly preferred
  • Strong executive presence
  • Ability to rapidly engage a diverse audience of internal/ external stakeholders, include senior management
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbally (A&A)
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability
  • Self-starter able thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment that is results-driven
  • Gracefully challenge the status quo and is data driven
  • Able to see the "big picture" and the details
  • Excel in diverse and intercultural teams, excellent team player
