DHL is currently looking for a Human Resources Support Specialist.  The key deliverables for this role include managing seamless delivery of all HR operational services, streamlining, standardizing and driving continuous improvement of all HR processes, expanding self-service capabilities and access to information tools, reporting and analytics. The position will be responsible for building a stronger infrastructure and a high performing team to support HR operations for DHL Express in the United States.


 
Key Responsibilities:


  • Acts as the customer advocate for HR by representing the services in a positive manner and provides excellent customer service.  Proactively escalates issues to ensure the timeliest service.

  • Effectively review and process HR service requests and transactions related to one or more HR specialties with a high degree of accuracy and adherence to procedures.

  • Strong analytics, data, auditing and reconciliation skills required

  • Manage the employment process with assistance in completing new hire paperwork and on-boarding.  Also responsible for off-boarding once a termination is submitted.

  • Timekeeping Administration in Kronos, partnering with Supervisors and Managers to ensure employees are paid correctly and all hours worked and time off is accounted.

  • Partner with askPayroll to ensure timeliness of employees’ pay, submitting the correct Kronos data and follow through to ensure payments are delivered.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to facilitate knowledge transfer between Center of Excellence (COE) Personnel and Shared Services.

  • Continuously evaluates existing work processes and prospective processes to ensure the most effective use of resources.  Make recommendations for process improvements.

  • Leverages technology to reduce costs, improve effectiveness, maximize efficiencies, and enhance vendor relationships.

  • Collaborates and engages HR leaders to ensure HR Shared Services is aligned with HRD strategic initiatives and plans. Partners with CoE’s, Business Partners and Corporate HR to identify opportunities of streamlining work by automating or building scalable service delivery models.

  • Accountable for creating service standards/metrics for all offerings and ensuring all service standards are met as per agreed Service Level Agreements.

  • Must be willing to work weekend shifts on an as needed basis.
 

​Skills & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years experience in related field or MS/MA and a minimum of 1 years of experience in related field.

  • Extensive working knowledge of Kronos as well as Oracle based HRIS

  • Strong problem solving skills with a “Can do” attitude, results and customer oriented.

  • Extensive human resources operations and payroll knowledge. 

  • Ability to work independently, resourceful and self-sufficient.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Attention to detail and accountability.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point).

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
