We currently have an opportunity for an Air Capacity Sales (ACS) Sr. Booking Agent at our CVG, Erlanger, KY Hub.
This position is part of the US cargo division of DHL Aviation which is an organization that sells excess air network capacity to freight forwarders. The US ACS group is a high growth unit, with revenue tripling in the last three years to over 100 million annually. ACS is a key contributor to the success of Express, as the ACS proceeds are returned to the DHL Express in the form of reduced airline costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Position will require you to work directly with Network Control, Line haul Planning, Capacity Planning and ULD management at the CVG Hub with a focus on Hub connectivity.
Coordinates ACS shipments at the US Hub operational activities to ensure the safe, timely and cost effective processing of shipments.
Work with Express stations, ground providers, 3 party vendors and the hub to develop capacity solutions on behalf of the customer
Directs and ensures compliance with established DHL corporate, hub, gateway or terminal warehouse Hub/Gateway, and airline policies, procedures and standards in accordance with government regulations.
Communicate to the customer in an effective and concise manner on the condition of their freight during transit
Work with the Express stations, ground providers, 3rd party vendors, and the Hub to develop capacity solutions on behalf of the customer
Provide customers technical advice regarding documentation, regulations compliance (e.g. DGR, screening, export docs, etc), and aircraft and ULD load capabilities
Analyze load trends for network operations and recommend capacity changes as necessary
Work closely with ACS Sales to determine best possible solutions for customer transit requirements
Load and book customer shipments using the ACS website CMS
Train customer in the use of CMS
Monitor all US, LATAM, and Canada AGA’s and allocations
Monitor booking emails and answer booking calls
Create daily reports including (Bypass, Hot Shipment, Perishables)
Update daily closed city spreadsheet
Preform daily rebooking when shipments are held at origin/destination
Skills & Qualifications:
HS Diploma or Equivalent required
BS/BA related field preferred
Experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse or industry related field preferred
Knowledge of aircraft type and ULD type
Prior customer service experience preferred
This fast pace role requires analytical thinking and the ability to make quick decisions independently
Strong problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong proficiency with MS Office
