Job Description:

Wagner Equipment Co., the Caterpillar dealer for Colorado, New Mexico and far west Texas, is seeking applications for a Field Service Clerk in Albuquerque, NM.

The Field Service Clerk performs clerical/administrative functions in support of Field Service personnel in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

Essential Functions:

  • Creates and maintains all fields in computerized work order screens including detail maintenance of notes, parts, labor, miscellaneous, etc.

  • Creates and maintains paper file for work order documents

  • Documents approval/disapproval of additional repairs

  • Enters and maintains expenses in system (mileage, meals, labor, outside purchases, etc.)

  • Enters SIMS data for service reports

  • Prints job closing summaries and reviews job when complete

  • Creates, checks, and mails invoices

  • Files documents

  • Enters, prints, and submits for approval P-Card and cash expense reports

  • Enters, checks, corrects, and submits weekly labor hours report to Payroll by deadline every week

  • Creates pro-forma invoices for customer review as needed

  • Assembles work order documents for OTG (scanning) and sends pack to Denver Office Services

  • Understands, maintains, and checks all monthly work orders for the branch

  • Uses Daily Reports on the I Drive to assure that work orders have required data (promise dates, using ROP Standards, etc.)

  • Reviews weekly WIP report to assure no jobs are staying open longer than needed

  • Receives customer calls and walk-in customers

  • Interfaces with other Service employees to assure jobs are closed in a timely manner

  • Communicates discrepancies or problems with job to appropriate person

  • Interviews customer to obtain all pertinent information needed to open work order (serial number, machine location, purchase order number, etc.)

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience

  • Must pass all required pre-employment screenings which may include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings


Pay Rate: Starting at $14.61 per hour
