Job Description:

CCB's Communications team is looking for an experienced communications professional to lead external communications and media relations support for Chase Financial Health and Community & Business Development. The role will report to head of Consumer & Business Banking PR and join a national team that manages internal, executive, external and social media communications - and will work closely with peers across the lines of business .

Chase Financial Health and Community & Business Development is focused on expanding financial inclusion to more communities and consumers and driving adoption of products and tools that help customers, including students and elderly adults, build healthy financial habits. CBD sits within Chase's Consumer Bank, which serves around 25 million checking households with more than $600 billion in deposits. The business's more than 50,000 employees serve clients through approximately 5,000 branches in 38 states and the District of Columbia, about 16,000 ATMs, mobile, online and phone.

Responsibilities


  • Lead external communications and media relations for Community & Business Development and Financial Health at Chase, focused on driving awareness for the firm's support of the un and underbanked population.
  • Serve as a communications partner to marketing and brand colleagues, communications peers and the corporate responsibility team to support marketing and communications efforts.
  • Develop and implement creative and dynamic communications plans that will reach target audiences using a wide range of channels, including earned media, social media, marketing partnerships, events and internal channels.
  • Create written, verbal and digital content that effectively communicates how Chase supports consumers' financial health and is expanding access to banking through its innovative products and services.
  • Manage our PR agency of record to plan and implement communications projects.
  • Continually measure the impact of communications, and keep a pulse of financial and consumer trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of professional experience, include hands-on media relations and creative PR activations - like events - that support large scale product or campaign launches
  • Strategic thinker
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and be a collaborative team player
  • Strong writer
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills combined
  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest standards of integrity and professional excellence
  • Direct experience with communicating with management leadership teams
  • Experience in creating innovative communications strategies

Preferred skills:

o Advanced written and verbal communications skills

o Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel

o Understanding the use of social media and its effectiveness

o Ability to manage several tasks and objectives simultaneously

o Ability to think creatively, identify and solve problems

o Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
