Job Description:

The Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Head of Diversity and Inclusion will have line of business responsibility for defining, developing and measuring diversity and inclusion as a key part of the business strategy. This Director will work with the JPMC Diversity & inclusion team, CIB business and HR leaders to initiate and support initiatives covering a range of areas including metrics & accountability, engagement, communications, diversity and inclusion training, consulting and employee networking groups. Partner with senior business leaders and HR business partners to implement diversity best practices and initiatives tailored to the needs of the CIB and focused on achieving measurable and sustainable results.

Key Responsibilities


  • Actively plan with business and HR Leaders and the firmwide diversity and inclusion team to develop strategic initiatives, programs, and processes to support overall diversity and inclusion objectives that align with the firmwide strategic framework, including operationalizing executive accountability deeper into the organization. Programs and initiatives developed within the Line of Business will align with the broader firmwide strategy and objectives.
  • Lead a small team that delivers field-ready diversity tools and best practices to support the needs of CIB; ensure integration with relevant people programs/processes
  • Prepare regular executive updates leveraging standardized and adhoc reporting such as the diversity scorecards to monitor and inspect performance on employee representation, advancement and inclusion for the CIB Management Team
  • Provide guidance, oversight and support for CIB diversity networks to ensure their strategies and development of members align with CIB and firmwide D&I and business needs; advise sub-LOB diversity councils as needed
  • Design and deliver cross-cultural, diversity and inclusion presentations, workshops, and learning modules
  • Partner with cross-LOB D&I leads, Corporate Diversity, Communications and other key stakeholder groups to develop and communicate best practices
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to integrate diversity and equity practices into CIB employment and workplace practices
  • Coach diverse talent on career development and readiness for promotion and leadership experiences; oversee program management of key talent programs designed to increase diversity of talent pipeline
  • Manage external client relationships related to D&I requests/inquiries in partnership with HR and line of business; including client engagement opportunities in support of the business and oversee external client survey D&I data requests and prepare appropriate data/response.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse workforce and provide leadership in organizational change
  • Demonstrate ability to influence and partner with business leaders to assist in the development and maintenance of a CIB-wide diversity strategy that aligns with business initiatives
  • Able to influence change and develop high performing, cross-functional, global teams
  • Bring credibility to the position through proven leadership skills, company or industry reputation and professional qualifications

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree plus extensive experience in leadership roles of large, global, complex organizations with proven track records of success
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment of change, challenge and multiple deadlines, priorities, and stakeholders
  • Expert relationship building skills, advanced verbal and written executive presentation skills and ability to tell a story with metrics
  • Business acumen with demonstrated successes operating as a business leader
  • Must be able to partner with colleagues to influence broader HR strategies and practices for the benefit of the organization
  • Success with working collaboratively and developing strong, positive working relationships across a matrix organization
