The CIB Treasury Strategy group is responsible for evaluating the CIB's approach to liquidity and capital management, in order to optimize performance in the context of both regulatory and internal regulations and policies. The group works in partnership with the rest of the CIB Treasury team as well as the Corporate Treasury and Capital Management teams on topics such as Capital framework, Liquidity framework and New regulatory policies: - integrating new and proposed regulatory measures - short and long term capital and liquidity strategy for the CIB.
Focus on capital strategy for CIB including the following:
Thought leadership on implementation of capital framework into how businesses review trade / business opportunities
Understanding and monitoring of future regulatory rule changes, and potential impact on CIB and capital framework approach
Interaction with Corporate Capital Management teams on impact of firmwide Capital strategy on CIB capital and businesses
Formulation, implementation, and monitoring of CIB capital allocation framework to CIB LOBs
Local representative of CIB Treasury strategy team
• Ad hoc support of businesses on Treasury strategy related items, including framework approach, new trade analysis, resource projections, new rule impacts, ad hoc activity enquiries
Bachelor degree required.
Comfortable to work autonomously in an unstructured environment
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Proven leadership experience:
Able to take initiative and drive projects to successful completion
Experience working on large projects or leading smaller end to end projects preferred
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter
Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan
Ability to multi-task and navigate different projects and prioritize issues
Knowledge or experience or familiarity to risk management / CIB products and Basel rules is preferred
Good organizational skills & planning ability
