We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Agent for a procurement team. This position works closely with multiple Vendors, contract administrators, and project managers to facilitate, manage and develop inventory and job materials before, during, and after the construction project.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Researching and comparing suppliers, good, and services.


• Selecting the most suitable supplies in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.


• Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase need.


• Requesting quotes, negotiating prices, and creating purchase orders.


• Maintaining records of all transactions and tracking shipments.


• Building and maintaining positive, long term supplier relations.


• Maintain database of inventory/material items.

Essential Education and Qualifications:                                               

• Requires a minimum level of experience in procurement.


• Must possess strong organizational and communication skills with an attention to detail.


• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in the construction industry.


• Prior experience in procurement or similar position.


• Knowledge of utility construction material.
