What you'll do
Lead business development projects that enable brand growth across all markets and channels
Work with marketing and merchandising on developing brand and product partnerships with other brands and partners
Lead business development activities; financial modeling, market due diligence, negotiations, and transaction project management
Develop market entry models and analyze market entry potential along qualitative and quantitative measures
Deliver insights and packaging findings into executive-ready content
Drive the development of Old Navy's growth strategy, including overseeing quantitative and qualitative analyses (e.g., market and competitor assessments, financial performance analysis) and leading and partnering with cross-functional business partners
Lead strategic projects that support revenue and cost management for our international markets by:
Price architecture recommendations through competitor benchmarking, consumer insights, internal data analytics and financial modeling
Identifying key issues and developing hypotheses
Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, including competitor benchmarking and financial modeling
Partnering closely with cross-functional teams to review analysis and determine next steps
Synthesizing findings, and preparing presentations that communicate action itemsecommendations to senior management and leadership team
Developing and managing work plans
Serve as a thought leader and liaison with business partner inside Old Navy's Outlet and International markets, and across Gap Inc., proactively identifying and communicating business issues and sharing best practices across brands
Support business critical strategy projects including:
Creation of Long-Range Plans across brands through research, analysis and close collaboration with teams
Process improvement initiatives through analysis of current state and development of recommendations for future improvement
Identify new data or analytic capabilities that can support teams in improved decision making
Anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact business results
Proactively foster cross functional relationships to collaborate or gain buy-in on analyses and process recommendations
Who you are
Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem-solver and strategic thinker
Able to quickly identify key issues and develop hypothesis
Able to work in and bring structure to ambiguous environments
Very strong analytic and financial modeling skills, with deep understanding of how to link strategy to financial plans
Able to synthesize disperse information into effective strategies and innovative insights, translating complex ideas into simple, actionable recommendations
Very strong written and oral communicator with proven ability to communicate with senior executives
Strong retail business acumen
Demonstrated understanding of retail and consumer-facing businesses
Able to assess impact of decisions on overall business
Excellent interpersonal and people leadership skills
Able to collaborate effectively using broad range of influence styles to drive desired results; works well with others and is considered a true team player
Proven experience in leading teams (that might include senior leaders) including providing direction, understanding resource capability and successfully driving results working with internal or external resources
Strong executive presence and command skills
Able to identify barriers to successful implementation and capable of working with teams/leaders to mitigate barriers
Approaches conflicts as opportunities; understands others quickly; can find common ground without comprising total position
Very strong project and process management skills, including ability to independently disaggregate problems into defined workplans
Able to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and to manage cross-functional business partners who are not direct line reports
Experienced leader with a proven track record of successfully leading teams
10+ years of professional work experience, preferably within strategic management consulting, retail, consumer products, and/or investment banking
Strong interest in knowledge of retail industry, preferably with some experience in apparel
MBA required
