Interacts with guests as a costumed character and performs as directed to entertain guests. Height requirements are 4'5" to 5'3".

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must obtain an Entertainment Work Permit and a regular Work Permit.
  • Must be at least 4'8" and no taller than 5'3" to fit in character costumes.
  • Ability to understand English at a level sufficient to receive and perform basic job assignments and instructions.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic acting ability and stage presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Meets and greets park guests cordially and with respect, courtesy, and fairness.
  • Entertains guests as a costumed character by bringing to life the personality of the specific character through hand and body movements.
  • Poses for photos with the guests.
  • Meets park standards for performance and conduct.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment.
  • Maintains clear and concise lines of communication with appropriate personnel in all production matters.
  • Will be required to do character walks which require the wearing of character costumes and walking around throughout the park entertaining guests using nonverbal interaction as trained.
  • Is responsible for the daily maintenance of the costumes worn, including cleaning, brushing, etc.
  • Height requirements are as follows: Peanuts Characters - 4'5" to 5'3".
  • Ability to interact with children.
  • Maneuverability and mobility to work within the park.
  • Regular attendance, ability to work with other people, and good judgement.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of venues, behind-the-scenes locations, and throughout the park.
  • Performs role consistently for guests during several performance times per day, as assigned by park management.
  • Performs physical warm-ups prior to performances to prevent injury.
  • Learns and complies with the safe and appropriate use of all chemicals necessary for the job
  • Be trained on proper use of chemicals, tools, and all cleaning machinery
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
