While working in a dynamic and progressive First Aid and Safety environment, this position provides competent emergency
medical care to guests and associates within the scope of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and performs
preventive safety checks and investigates select incidents.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • EMT-B certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and/or National Registry.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other web based applications as applicable.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a Prerequisite Shadow Process that includes review of medical skills and site specific training within 5 shifts worked and 10 patient contacts.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Minimum Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Knowledge of the park and proper access to each area.
  • Assists in the stocking, cleaning, and maintenance of stations, vehicles and related equipment
  • Works with Associate Services to facilitate the hire process.
  • Assists associates with Return to Work Process.
  • Informs Supervisor of stock depletions or equipment problems.
  • Provides basic clinical, life support and/or emergency care to guests and associates including wound care, removing splinters and basic health evaluations.
  • Processes and completes departmental paperwork and maintains high degree of confidentiality.
  • Assists with following up on patients as needed.
  • Drives Safety Department equipment to and from scene of any emergency.
  • Informs only authorized persons of information pertinent to the Safety Department.
  • Performs non-listed responsibilities, if situation demands.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
