Job Description: Overview As an associate in the Reservations Office/Call Center at the Cedar Point Resorts, you will answer incoming calls, make reservations for 4 Cedar Fair parks, manage financial transactions over the phone, handle guest inquiries and resolve customer concerns. The communication you have with each guest is the beginning of their positive memorable experience at Cedar Point.
Qualifications
Ability to learn and use the hotel Property Management System (Opera and Kampsight) and perform basic Internet searches
Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional manner with extended periods of sitting
Work collaboratively in a team setting and work independently
Ability to utilize problem-solving skills, including having the ability to remain patient, poised, and alert to cope with challenging/unique situations
Demonstrate strong time management, planning and organizational skills in order to optimize productivity
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
Responsibilities
Ability to set up reservations for the hotels and campgrounds, sell admission tickets, and answer guest questions on the phone or chats on-line
Ability to maintain guest information, including credit card information, in a secure and confidential manner
Manage and resolve guest concerns in a composed manner
Ability to identify and escalate priority issues
Answers and directs incoming telephone calls in a pleasant and efficient manner; answers all questions callers might have pertaining to an upcoming visit to the park, special promotions, discounts, or events sponsored by the park
Ability to accurately process credit card transactions
Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety Guidelines and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
Meets Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in the Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
