Your new role You will fulfill the role of Property Controller where you will report into the CFO and manage all property related accounting duties;
Prepare and maintain all books and records for the assigned properties and/or development deals
Issue monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
Send out all partner and JV reporting and address all inquiries regarding the reporting
Monitor cash positions at the assigned properties
Prepare and submit draw requests
Prepare and monitor debt compliance requirements
Annual property budget
Prepare all year-end work papers and help in preparation of corporate tax returns
Work with leasing, asset management and property management in preparing operating budgets and monitoring performance against those budgets
Provide accounting support to other departments
Proficient in Yardi
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally 7+ years within a senior property accounting or controller level role focused on property accounting
BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance
Able to work full time in Manhattan (inline with health & safety COVID guidelines)
Must have property/real estate industry experience
Yardi is a must have
