Seeking an IT Digital Experience Director in Orlando , FL.
Role Description • Partner with key business stakeholders to understand business and marketing strategies and translate that into a technology roadmap to effectively leverage the digital platform across the enterprise and within our brands • Partner with brand management teams and other appropriate IT teams to effectively plan, prioritize and schedule related Platform development initiatives • Key participant in IT leadership team understanding business strategy and strengthening organizational effectiveness and capabilities in the digital space • Lead the development and support team effectively, empowering the team by enabling growth through training, coaching, mentoring and by providing right opportunities to nurture their strengths. • Manage, plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the planning, scope/definition, design, development, testing, and implementation of initiatives enhancing enterprise-class multi-brand e-commerce system and applications • Oversee development and management of detailed project plans aligned to key milestone delivery objectives; identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies; identify project variances and take appropriate actions to ensure delivery • Collaborate with and effectively utilize Enterprise and Application Architects on projects throughout the SDLC • Lead internal and external teams to execute and deliver: sourcing plans, development roadmaps, project plans, project and iteration estimates, technical documentation, deliverable lists, effective and strong project management process methodology, adherence to SDLC, project budgets and forecasting, and the overall deployment of projects and ongoing software releases • Create, manage, and update the overall product roadmap and release cycle, in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders • Ensure project management creates and drives detailed and effective communication and change management plans • Balance project time, resources and scope to ensure that projects support the business with a positive ROI and low risk of system failure • Ability to assess project and team needs and adjust resource plans as needed to deliver key commitments • Align with peers in Development, Infrastructure, Network, Information Security, Support, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure clear, consistent and aligned communication of delivery plans • Develop and manage project capital and expense budgets for implementation of new initiatives. Manage staff budgeting, adjusting rolling forecasts and actual spend • Develop and enforce best practices around development, on-time delivery, and application / project quality • Effectively lead people and large teams (utilizing internal and external resources) delivering consistent and excellent business results as evidenced by staff growth and development, effective recruitment and, when necessary, effective staff replacement • Ensure leadership competency behaviors are consistently demonstrated to enhance the IT employee experience • Partner with key stakeholders to understand and prioritize functional requirements and information needs. Participate in the development of functional requirements and design specifications as appropriate. • Guide and govern the technical process around the documentation of architectural details and designs from which applications and/or technical solutions can be developed that satisfy documented business /functional requirements and envisions potential future requirements and business needs to ensure solutions are flexible and extensible. • Ensure that all code / technical configurations and other work products are thoroughly unit-tested prior to delivery. • Participate in system/integration testing as appropriate. • Review larger solution designs across their technology or application stack to ensure assumptions and assigned responsibilities are plausible. • Ensure coding standards and best practices are clearly understood and are met. Ensure adherence to SDLC requirements. • Proactively identify and communicate potential problems and issues to project stakeholders including team members/leaders. Effectively communicate with stakeholders effectively.
Skills & Requirements • 8 years' experience with Ecommerce or Web Content Management systems • 10+ years' experience developing and supporting B2C JAVA/web-based applications • 3+ years' experience leading the development and support of mobile applications • Established expertise in leading large teams on enterprise digital transformational initiatives, including strategy definition, execution and operational support. • Proven IT leadership experience (5+ years) at a manager (or equivalent) level and (3+ years) at a director (or equivalent) level in a Fortune 500 company with a customer-centric, service-oriented, B2C model • BA/BS degree required.
