Responsibilities

The role of Director, Talent Operations is primarily responsible for the operational oversight of our global talent development projects, KPIs, budget, vendor management and Dematic’s overall change management strategy. This role will own the project management strategy for our talent development organization, partnering with each talent development team member, HR and business leaders and key stakeholders to ensure timely and seamless execution of our committed talent development programs and projects. Additionally, this new role will be responsible for Dematic’s Change Management (CM) program completion and implementation.

This position reports to the Senior Director Global Organization and Talent Development. The immediate priorities include developing project management execution plan and timeline, streamlining our vendor management process and partnerships with procurement, and measure, monitor and report on talent development KPIs. Additionally this role will partner with our parent business KION and our HR Operations organization to drive clear and consistent change management strategy around our Workday implementation, and will also create, implement, monitor and measure Dematic’s global change management program.

We are looking for a dynamic, results driven individual who can deeply understand our business, talent strategy, workforce dynamics and in turn translate this understanding into meaningful talent development project execution and global change management program and strategy. Ideal candidates will have proven ability to implement global strategies in a matrixed organization to deliver measurable results.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the talent development operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks and projects.

  • Coach, mentor and support the talent development team.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day talent development operational processes (internal and external) and provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for business success.

  • Develop and maintain talent development budget consistent with plan and look for ways to reduce cost for the business where possible.

  • Uses data to make decisions and leverage talent development analytics to inform strategy.

  • Implements global change management program, processes, routines, and templates while acting as the CM agent for the company.

  • Acts as CM consultant to Global Leadership Team and other key stakeholders and leaders, pivoting quickly and advising as needed to ensure seamless change management execution for both small and large scale projects.

  • Leverage external resources like benchmarks, research and partner input and make recommendations on our talent development projects and programs in order to ensure we are progressively adapting our talent development strategy in line with the market.

  • Partner with Communications, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Rewards and Mobility, and other key stakeholders to support and drive our global people experience strategy.

  • Leverage data and metrics to measure the ROI of our talent development projects and programs.

  • Lead other various project work as needed and drive results and outcomes aligned with business priorities.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors and 10+ years or HS/GED and 15+ years of experience in operationalizing talent strategies across a business enterprise.

  • Demonstrated experience executing global talent development projects to impact culture renovation.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to independently problem solve and interact with clients autonomously and collaboratively.

  • Possesses strong project/program management and facilitation skills. Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Previous Experience with talent management technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Education: MBA or master’s in organizational development , Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Learning & Development or related field is preferred.

  • Previous success in influencing globally without direct authority to effectively manage the needs of multiple stakeholders and clients.

  • Previous success in leading large scale, complex enterprise-wide change initiatives.
