Job Description:

Operate, repair, troubleshoot, and monitor automatic and semi-automatic machinery used in the production process.


  • Provide "expert level" machine knowledge on the manufacturing process with the ability to positively impact machine performance. Align the process to efficiently produce high quality products after upsets occur.

  • Analyze and record cause of production delays on daily production reports and initiate procedures to solve equipment malfunctions and machine inefficiencies.

  • Ensure machines are able of producing products that meet quality standards.

  • Analyze causes of waste in raw materials, production and time management, and initiate procedures to resolve these issues.

  • Follow and enforce all safety rules and requirements to include proper lockout/tagout procedures, wearing of proper PPE, etc.

  • Train all levels of manufacturing personnel on the complete manufacturing and troubleshooting process.

  • Provide leadership during machine changeovers, preventative maintenance activities, and autonomous maintenance activities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant Work Experience
  • At least 7 years of production experience.
Additional

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture.

  • Understanding of how the mechanical systems interact with the production process and a basic understanding of electrical systems to maximize the manufacturing of the product.

  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds of weight throughout the workday; Must be able to work in a noisy environment with an elevated level of debris.

  • Ability to work overtime and be "on-call" with minimal notification.

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing processes and associated equipment, including ancillary support equipment required for production.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Trade school education, certification, or professional training.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience in classroom and hands on training on technical and process subjects.
