Job Description:

Do you have a deep knowledge of Behavioral Health Solutions and a passion for helping our clients and customers improve their health, wellbeing, and peace of mind? Join us, as a Behavioral Health Product Senior Advisor. This position is within the Behavioral Health strategy office, where it will play a key role in building and executing client specific strategies and support for adoption of Behavioral Health solutions with our account teams and clients.

As a Product Senior Advisor, you’ll be an  expert within Behavioral Health and serves as a trusted advisor and resource. You’ll advise clients on specific solutions, articulate the  value our solutions will bring to  members, and you’ll have a direct  impact on client outcomes. As such, this position requires a deep knowledge of our Behavioral Health Solutions.  The position also requires an understanding of the market landscape, an ability to understand client and account team needs, overcome barriers, and work closely with product owners and innovators.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Primary responsibilities include:


  • Develop deep expertise in Behavioral Health solutions, and other Behavioral Health initiatives to support client and internal partner questions in the sales process and methods to overcome barriers 

  • Develop client specific strategies in partnership with Clinical Account Executive, using market landscape knowledge to identify and prioritize expansion opportunities based on client needs and incorporate into account-specific business/revenue plans

  • Partner with Product Owners to quickly learn product updates and develop solution positioning strategies and deploy training resources to educate account teams on differentiating product updates

  • Gather client and account team feedback on solutions to inform Product Ownership and contribute to continuous solution improvement

  • Communicate directly with Behavioral Health expert counterparts within prospect, broker, consultants and/or coalition organizations to ensure effective value proposition alignment, differentiation and positioning.

  • Influence current behavioral health solutions to ensure meeting critical client needs and optimizing client adoption. Where solution gaps exist, work with product and innovation teams to develop custom new solutions.

  • Lead Behavioral Health strategy and execution of client requests for proposals (RFP’s)

  • Serve as a central point of contact for our internal cross-functional partners and for external parties

  • Lead and support client presentations as the subject matter expert for Behavioral Health solutions

Qualifications:


  • Demonstrate ability to develop strategy, sequence, and execute on the tactical initiatives to advance the selling strategy

  • Ability to influence senior level leadership within and outside of the organization; must work well cross functionally

  • Drives alignment across multiple levels and teams through collaboration

  • Ability to quickly build credibility and trust

  • Ability to influence and negotiate tough decisions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and execute on deadlines, handling multiple opportunities with different priorities and deadlines

  • Broad understanding of ourbusiness capabilities, profit levers, and cost drivers

  • Ability to communicate complex issues concisely

  • Proven track record of building trust from ground zero, and synthesizing account goals into product/service offerings

  • Demonstrate the initiative and experience to proactively identify issues, plan work, and meet goals on schedule

  • Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • 8-12 years relevant experience (healthcare with at least 2+ years in a sales support position) OR

  • 6-10 years relevant experience with Master’s degree


    Position Success Criteria




  • Establish yourselfas  a trusted executive sponsor to business unit account/sales team and be relied upon for partnership to expand our business relationship over time.

  • Expand our business footprint from other business units with new products and services in a material and profitable manner.

  • Increase our account retention position and long-term partnership when account puts business out for competition.
