Job Description

Serve as an integral member of the EDI business support team for K-C North America Consumer Business. Collaborate with other analysts to process and monitor EDI transactions providing a reliable exchange of electronic information between K-C and the customer. Drive continuous improvement for EDI processes.

Successful EDI Sr Data Analysts have solid analysis skills, great communication skills (both written and verbal), work well in a highly collaborative environment, and manage/balance multiple projects.

Essential Functions:


  • Troubleshoot EDI transactions for assigned customer base by monitoring electronic queues and responding to e-mails and phone calls. Prioritize and expedite assistance based upon severity of situations.


  • Lead efforts to increase K-C’s customer usage of EDI by implementing EDI with new customers, or implementing EDI transactions that are new to K-C.


  • Create entries in system tables to support customer requirements.


  • Generate and monitor EDI key performance indicators to reveal issues and highlight system enhancement opportunities.


  • Assist in prioritizing system enhancements/changes to ensure optimal use of IT resources.


  • Assist with system enhancement testing technical support team (IT) to plan, develop and execute client testing of all systems changes to ensure business is conducted in the most efficient and effective method possible.


  • Apply LEAN problem-solving techniques to improve system and process efficiencies and First Time Quality for EDI. Develop and maintain standard work documents for EDI transactions. Utilize other LEAN principles as needed. 


  • May be required to provide coverage on non-KC U.S. workdays (example: Canadian holidays, weekends where system enhancements are being made). Workday may begin at 7:00 A.M.

  • Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of Microsoft Excel software program.


  • Ability to travel via aircraft(s) and operate and drive motor vehicle(s) for business travel(s), with valid driver license.


Minimum Requirements:

Education required:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field with at least two years of experience.

Experience:


  • Base understanding of SAP functionality in Order Management, Distribution, Material Master and Customer Master pertaining to EDI outputs, IDOCs, and Partner Profiles.


  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize tools and processes for continuous improvement.


  • Preferred Experience/Qualifications:


  • Experience in EDI transactions (e.g. 850, 875, 846, 855, 856, 860, 865, 870, 880, 810, 864, 824).


  • Experience with IBM Sterling Gentran and/or other EDI mapping tools


  • Proven systems aptitude. Experience with a broad mix of technologies, IT infrastructure and order processing. Proficient in data access tools and PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Reporting Tools).


  • Skills/Competencies:


  • Results and strategy oriented, strong oral and written communication, analytical, trouble shooting, change management, project and risk management and building relationships.  Attention to detail is a must.


  • Other Skills:


  • Resources and time management, active listening, adaptability and interpersonal.


Organizational Relationships:

Reports to the Manager, Logistics Capabilities. 

Scope of Position:

Collaborate with Customer Logistics Service and Strategy team members, Customer Financial Services, Customer Teams, External Testing Partners and other Customer Logistics teams.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Varying working conditions may include prolonged sitting, typing and viewing computer/laptop screens, along with occasional bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, climbing, twisting, stooping, walking and standing.

Travel may include approximately 5% or less of work time. Travel may also include travel via aircrafts and motor vehicles to various locations, if applicable.
